The key to getting grout as clean as new is using the right cleaning chemistry with a high pressure rinse. Two different ceramic tile and grout cleaning detergents are used. A strong alkaline cleaner followed by a grout restoration acid. The alkaline detergent is a very good at breaking down greases and oils in the grout and is a very good general cleaner. The alkaline detergent will get the grout about 85% as clean as new,
The second grout cleaning detergent is a grout restoration acid. This dissolves the bond between the grout and the stains allowing them to be rinsed from the floor. Grout restoration acid is good for hard water build up, rust stains, and grout haze removal and will restore the grout to brand new condition.
Ceramic Tile and Grout Cleaning System
A powerful truck mounted hot water extraction system is used for ceramic tile and grout cleaning. This uses a contained wash head to safely pressure wash the grout without ever getting the floor more then mop damp. Water is put down in a spinning cyclone under a contained wash head that contains and remove the water and detergent. This uses a lot of water to rinse the grout be never gets the floor more then mop damp.
Ceramic Tile and Grout Sealing
The grout is then sealed with a very good penetrating sealer. This stops dirt and stains from soaking into the grout. The grout sealer we use last for 3-5 years.
